Hello Everyone!

We are VERY new to Guineas! But today we were at Pratts Pets and Feed and I just fell in LOVE with this little Guinea Keet!
After a few seconds My Amazing Boyfriend gave and in fell in Love! We picked out a Lavender (Didnt know the color untill an hour ago) and I carried her around the store for about an Hour
and "She" loved every second. She loves the silkies but is afraid on the Gray silkie chick. lol She let out a high pitch scream and came running to us.
She is just the sweetest thing! She is in our Brooder right now just to keep her comfortable and relaxed. I am going to call tomorrow to see about how old she is. If anyone has a good guess please let me know.

We will introduce her slowly to our flock of chickens until she is comfortable with them. I still have MANY questions about Guineas! So any information or advice would be much
Appreciated!!

We named her Ellie. We decided on just one for now but My Boyfriend is thinking about going back sooner for a white one.

Here are a few pictures of her. Her first few mins with the young silkies outside.

Oh she's so cute. She will be lonely without friends. I notice my guineas are even more social than my chickens. Wherever one guinea goes...they all go. The chickens don't mind being alone for a little while...wander off and then rejoin the group. How lucky to have a lavender and a white one available. I can't find many colors around here. Next year I am going to order a bunch of fancy ones like coral blue and sky blue and sell the extras.

Well We did IT!!

We got our Little Ellie a Friend!! We got "Her" a Pearl friend. who maybe a boy. (We will see if he is a he and she is a she.)
"He" is a little Bigger then our Ellie and they are the same age. They are 3 weeks old. I called Pratts and they gave me the date and everything. Would size indicate anything related to what sex they are? The pearl even has a black spot on his beak. Ellie seems VERY motherly towards our new Guinea. I am happy we got Her a friend. I knew I would end up getting another one anyways. lol

We need to name Our new baby. Any suggestions?

It was funny because Ellie is afraid of our Grey Silkie Chick and screams when she sees her but when our Partridge and Buff come over Ellie is calm and quiet. lol We just got the Pearl Guinea last night. Ellie didnt like him at first and just kept looking at him like he should NOT be in her HOUSE!! (She was in a small dog crate). But after a few minutes she was showing him the food and where she lays. It was soo cute!! They went into the Brooder last night and the new Guinea wasnt sure where he was but Ellie went straight for the food and the New one was looking around in the Alfalfa and wood shaving bedding. He kept finding good stuff. lol

Here are a few pictures. Hope they turned out ok. I will be taking them outside when it cools off some.

They were cuddling when I took the picture. CUTE!!

They look a little older than my two weekers, so three sounds right to me as well. I have pearl, white and lavender and one that appears to be a mix. Guineas are cute but boy are they scared easily!

Your Miss Ellie really is cute. She looks so shy. I hope they do well together. My colored babies are always smaller than my pearl babies.
