melanistic pheasant

I have never tried to correct that defect...I just cull when they are that badly deformed. Someone else might chime-in and be able to give you some advice on correcting it.
I just have this feeling if I cull it it would be my only female XD that would be my luck

You can sex melanistics! I'm not at home right now but when I get home, I'll post some pics of newly hatched male and female melanistic chicks.

She seems to be doing really well with that leg being messed up. She's managing to get around stumbling a bit but at least getting to the food and water
