Hi all. I'm a chicken/duck/goose newbie. I started my new hobby about 2 years ago with some chickens that my mom gave me (a mama hen with her 3 babies).

After the I initial 4 birds I decided that I wanted to hatch my own eggs... I also homeschool my 3 children so egg hatching is par for the course! But I think I loved the process more than they did. Anyway I had 20 eggs shipped to me of all different breeds. Only 3 hatched: a Rooster- Black Copper Maran, another rooster which they called a "Super Chocolate Egg Layer", and finally an Ameri-flower.

Now I have 2 Mille Fleur D'Uccle, 7 serma, 10 mini Silver Appleyard ducks, and 2 Pilgram geese, plus my original chickens that I already talked about.

I found this web page when researching how to incubate eggs. And I've been coming back ever since for all sorts of questions and concerns that I've had pertaining to my feathered friends.
