Member LOCATIONS on Their Signature Blocks...

Hello everyone...In the short time I've been a member of this great website and forum I have noticed one thing that sticks out glaringly to me, and am just wondering if any of you have noticed this as well:

On many, many of the posters' avatars to the forum their location is blank. This can be quite frustrating when it comes to replying to someone's query/problem , at least for me.

If I read someone's question or request for help, usually the first thing I do is glance over at just "where" they live. Why? Because my answer might not be correct. Do they live in cold climates? Do they live in hot climates? Things like that. My answer might have nothing to offer. I don't know, I just wish that members would at least post their state/country.

Does anyone else agree? Just thinkin' ....

Whew!! I'm so glad you replied! I was beginning to think my post was going to fade into the distance...eek! Thanks again, I just hope that maybe the moderators might get wind of this and agree, too!

I don't think it should be mandatory. I enjoy my privacy as much as the next person. I think some people just don't put it in and forget about it. I don't think you can go wrong putting just your state in though.

Gosh, I didn't say anything about "mandatory" .. I just think it would be to everyone's advantage if we at least knew what state/country they're from...

I'm new here, but I would like to see where everyone lives. I agree that it should be each person's choice, but wish more would make that choice.

Now that I've said that, I hope mine shows - I honestly haven't noticed.
