Member numbers vs. actual user numbers

In the backyarder vs farmer thread there were like 15 people who posted that had less then 100 post and one of them had been here for 2 YEARS and just now did his first post.

Way to spoil the fun! LOL.

I have noticed a lot of members hardly ever posting anything but auctions, and when they do otherwise, it's always something like "Why don't you buy our new ______???" or "We are selling ______!!!", you know? I mean, really, people?

We (my DH and I) belong to a hiking club that 50% of the members that pay their dues each year have never gone on a hike or attended a meeting and many of those pay for life time memberships. Guess it's a case of just supporting an activity. I am a new member and read (or lurk) lots and lots of threads (my DH thinks I'm permanently stuck in my 'puter chair

), but at this point don't feel I have much to contribute. Just wait 'til I learn more!!! Then you won't be able to shut me up

wonder how this has changed over the last few months.

So does that mean , 100 of us have to much free time.......100 seem very low......i would think it would be alot higher
