Hey BYC'ers!
We've been gone a long while - it'll be four years since our car wreck this winter...brain injury isn't fun. PRAISE to all who helped get us back together - physically, spiritually, emotionally - it's been a long, long haul.
Our Black Java flock keeps plugging away. Daily eggs from nearly all hens! (20 hens, 2 roos, I think I'm up to 8 chicks right now...with 7 broody's, it's hard to keep track!) Love our flock!
Was cruising CL and found Swedish Flower Hens nearby....yeah, we've added these for "visual interest" in our all black flock. Not likely going to combine the two. After all, I've worked hard to build up our Java's to what I need - a good dual purpose bird.
