Members not getting email subscription notifications - please read and reply with details

Thanks for your reply.

I have done steps 1-5 ad nausem. It has been months since I last received anything from BYC. I have had to scroll through the forum to see answers or feedback to any of my posts. According to my service provider, all my filters, etc are properly set up. Guess it must be a cyber space thing.

I started getting notifications for my other threads last week. They must have fixed it!

Carcajou - What is your eMail client? Are you using Outlook or web-based eMail? The last time I had this issue and they said they had fixed it I stiull wasn't getting notifications. I logged in to GoDaddy's web mail and there they were - all in the SPAM folder! GoDaddy was stopping them before they got to Outlook!

If you are NOT getting emails from BYC, do ALL of the following:
  1. Triple check your spam filters to see if the BYC emails have gone there.
  2. Triple check your subscription settings here on BYC to make sure you are subscribed to the item you want to receive notifications on.
  3. Triple check the new email preferences setting in your profile
  4. Add [email protected] to your email system's address book, whitelist, safe-sender list, etc.
  5. If possible, test a different email address with a different provider. Some email providers (AOL for example) are notorious for not being super friendly to BYC and many other sites.
  6. If after doing ALL the steps above, reply to this post with a note that you've 100% done steps 1-5 above and let us know the day and time of your last email, and type (pm notification, thread subscription, etc.) of emails you are and are not getting from BYC.

All done above. See note at my thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/799194/email-changed-now-not-getting-my-subscriptions-etc#post_11549643

Thank you!

Thanks for the note suebee!

We actually see that your email address is on our email on bounce list, which means your ISP has sent back an "email undeliverable" message to our server.

We'll try to push the emails through, but once they leave our system, there are a lot of things that are out of our hands when it comes to email deliverability.

Make sure to add [email protected] to your email contact list and maybe even ask your ISP to whitelist the email address / domain.

I received your reply in my email inbox. Wonderful! I'll reply/subscribe to various posts to test and reply here if I still have problems. Thanks Rob. :)
