Birds should have no problem maintaining proper beak and talon length. I don't think this maintenance routine is necessary, and is probably quite traumatic for your birds. What makes you think you have to do that?I don't really clip them. I take a finger nail dremmel and take off the overgrowth. I probably won't do this anymore and I'll focus on their dragon nails!![]()
They scratch me up pretty good when I go to bring them outside. On multiple occasions I have bled from the scratches. They are only 7 weeks old and still in their brooder (which is really big and built for their age right now) so they don't always have access to the ground where they can properly scratch and peck the ground.
