Merganser

Does anyone here have experience with mergancers? I was thinking about getting one in a while, but can't really find any care info on them.
Does anyone know of a decent place to even buy one? Thanks.

Hello,

I don't know much about mergansers, but there are species of them that are native to our part of the world. I know a lot of states have laws against keeping wild and/or native birds, so you may not even be able to keep them.

You might check your area for bird rescues or waterfowl rescues. Sometimes they'll have native birds that they can release onto someone's pond or lake. Or if it is legal to keep them as pets, the rescues might still be your best bet.
