Messaging and email options for user profile

Hiya.

I'd like an option for messaging that isn't currently offered. I'd like to have my email as the messaging option, but NOT the PM. I prefer email because it doesn't have the same limitations as PMs and it comes to my phone, so if I don't log in for a few days, I won't miss out.

Is this possible? Am I missing something?
