I wish I could have seen that haha

Ha ha, my meteorologist has a blog, too. I don't have as much fun with him as you do, though. It's all nerdy weather talk over there (I like it, though).

Well,
The 2 sodas were Mug rootbeer and orange Sunkist. My 7yr. old preferes rootbeer and my 2 yr. old loves ORANGE...orange everything....from the color to the fruit.

And then last night I emailed him (the blog is only up when there's weather to talk about and on thurs. nights) and asked him about the BIG storm we are getting tonight and if he thinks I still have to bake 6 dozen cookies for my daughter's Christmas play.

He told me he thought it wouldn't get cancelled and to feel free to bring some cookies his way (just kidding) but the station isn't quite a half mile a way....so....if the weather looks to be ok and after the program tonight...I may drop in with some cookies, seeing he and his team has to be there ALL night to report on the severe weather we are getting. As long as he mentions me and dd's school....he may get some cookies...but I didn't let him on to it.

Then last night on the news he said there was a "humdinger" of a storm coming. So I teased him and said...Yeah right you were kidding about bringing cookies...humdinger. Guess there's gonna be a humdinger of a storm so too bad for you Storm Henderson.

In his email he referred to my email as being entertaining....so I said, You think that's entertaining? How many people can say they have a chicken in their shower? baGAWK!

Ha ha ha ha....

He gets in today at 2pm so I probably won't see a reply to that until after that time. But I think he was hoping I'd come and entertain him on the blog tonight since he'll be there ALL night. ha ha. You're the weather man...what do you expect. Then there's more snow forcasted pretty much for the next 5 days....

Oh and I told him chicken soup was better for this kind of weather.

I just dropped off a "bonified" frozen chicken and some cream of brocolli soup to my weather guy....oh and a pack of crackers....and a homemade card that told him how to cook the food:

Front of card has a snowman and says, "Hey 'Storm' Henderson...." open up card: "Humdinger!"

Soup: Nuke it....with LID OFF.

(It's in a mason jar.)

Chicken: 425* for 45 min. flipping once. Coat with flour and seasoning as desired...lightly oiled pan.

Then I dropped him off 2 sodas-mug & sunkist-- with some masking tape around it and wrote on tape on cans:

Slushy: 2 hrs. 45 min.

I can't wait for him to get into work today.

My little girl, Zoe, was the angel in her school play last night...she did wonderfully. She has a high pitched sqweaky voice and saw people chuckle....but she's just so stinkin cute! Ava the 2 yr. old climbed the pews and made a ruckus after Zoe exited the stage so Grandma lead her to the nursery room with toys...so mama could watch the rest of the program.

When it was done....

We did the cookie walk...I got an extra box for the weather guy...and went and hand delivered it up the road from the school, not even a block away.

Some spooky bald headed freaky character came to the dark door and got it and delivered it to him. The girls were still in the car....cuz everything was dark....but they have a phone at the door...so i said, hi, i have cookies for the weather guy...ha ha ha.

When I got home I had an email and he said...why didn't I DEMAND to deliver it personally?

I said, I was not aware I could "demand" things at the news station but I'd keep it in mind and let my brain fester to think of something worth "demandin."

Then I told him to tell the guy who came and got his cookies to get a hair cut.

ha ha ha...he was bald.

Anyway, "Storm" Henderson had a VERY busy night last night. He was there from 2pm until probably close to 8am. And he had to be back to work today again at 2pm.

So his blog was up ALL night long...so many kids and parents asking about school closings...he kept saying he's not the superintendant...he doesn't make that call...and then gave them the direct link for school closings and said most don't call it until 4-5am. And for hours people were like when is it gonna start? Are you sure? I don't think we're gonna get any accumulation? Where'd you get your degree? When's it gonna start in Paw Paw?
When's the snow gonna start in Belvidere? When's the snow gonna start in Machesney Park?....and on and on and on.....

Anyway...it was fun trying to beat the repitition, but I went to bed and got up this morning and checked his blog...still going strong....and with 10 inches of snow outside and still snowing steady....

I got on and said:

Mornin Sunshine.

Hey, when is it supposed to snow in Winnebago?

oooooh good times.

Actually,
I went back and read some posts while I was a sleep and a college meterologist hopeful gal by the name Cumulus Cutie was flirting with him.

So he answered her and said...Cumulus the expected total....

and she replied....you don't have to call me Cumulus...you can call me Cutie.

ha ha ha ha....only if I were there....oh that would have been fun to address. No one else said anything. They only reported the news....Route 2 slick as heck...

I got critters and 2 smudgy kids I lay my kisses on.

me,
