Metal corrugated roof! Ugh...

Hi, and thanks! Yes the pitch was mentioned, but not mine. Oh trust me I will not use him again or recommend him EVER! I will mention the pitch to my brother (my handy guy) when we rip the metal off. How would I raise the metal off the plywood?

Looks like others have answered your question quite well: furring strips. You get protection and ventilation of the roof.

Be sure that there are paths and breaks so water goes where you want it to go. Can't block water or it will behave badly. You could also consider using what was or is still called 'cap sheet', tho you already have the metal. Conceptually, in many ways, the paper is really your real water barrier and anything else on that, cap sheet or metal is just to protect the paper shield.

I would talk to a roofing supplier; they want to sell materials, not the job and you may get your best info from them vs a roofer.

Yes, I put house floor vents in my coop I built, one high and one low. That's true if I get the ones I can close to use.
These are some of my low vents

Great idea consulting with a supplier! Thanks.
