mexican chicken bug

anyone have any information on this parasite? i live in northern indiana and thought i had bed bugs but after alot of reading on bugs i came accross this bug. it looks like a bed bug but has different behavior. i have a small(6) flock of hens in my backyard.

Is this "Mexican chick bug" infesting your house or is it on your chickens? Or both? Please tell us where you found it. That would be a clue.

Yes, they can infest your house and your coop.

You would have to look at one in comparison to the photos for identification. The article should help.
