Unfortunately the little white one in front didn't survive.

Don't know what happened, she was fine then she wasn't. I hate that. I'm going to try to pick up a replacement on monday. The breeder lives 1 1/2 hours from me but I might have to go her way for work so it might all work out. I've had so many chicks die this year that I'm almost ready to give up. I just can't figure out why a select few die with no more than a few hours of getting tired beforehand.
More chicken math at work: I was talking with a friend yesterday and we decided to split an order of 25 meat birds from Meyer. They arrive at the end of next week. We're going to have to keep them at a friend's farm since I'm only allowed 8 chickens (we currently have 20 onsite) and she is allowed 0 chickens (and has 6 onsite). lol!
I was surprised my husband was ok with it. All I had to do was say he could practice processing a few of them (he's been wanting to learn).
