Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

Izzy (EE) Stella (hatchery quality Buff Brahma; hopefully she loses her white feathers. looks like she's half light brahma half BB)
Goodness, I'm in love with Izzy! :drool I may have to try some Meyer EEs and see if I get one like her! Also, I think Stella looks lovely with her snowy/buff mixed look, though it probably isn't good as far as the quality of their Brahmas. I wonder if they had a rooster hop a fence or something? ETA: Strange, Izzy's picture won't show up in the quote... Did I post the pictures of my babies enjoying the great outdoors? I don't think I did...

So my hubby wants to place another order for 6 more chicks! I tried adding a marans today and they are out for my ship date. If we do end up getting the 3rd order I'm gonna try again. I blame the whole me wanting marans on frou-frou, once I saw her pic I fell in love. Then Pipd was talking about how amazing she is and it was all over.

Just noticed this post! :D Yes, Frou'f is a great bird. Hope you can get one for your order! :fl When we ordered Frou-frou, she was the very last one available for the date.

As a side note to those wanting to get a blue splash Marans, I feel in necessary to mention that Frou-Frou was hand shy as a chick and only really warmed up to me at about a month old, and from that point on she's been my baby. :love So don't be too disappointed if you get one and it's shy at first.

And it doesn't look like I posted these, so here we go! :D

Nice set up. I wasn't prepared to have two sets of different aged chicks myself, but eventually it worked out. Of course. I worried too much for a few weeks, but everyone survived and they're getting along better now. Your chicks look so happy in their new coop.

Here are some new pics of my Meyer Girls... A bit over 14 weeks...

BeeBee

Chugg (BA)

Mamie (BA)

Cleo my clean faced EE

Mrs Puff (EE)

Izzy (EE)

Pipsqueak

Stella (hatchery quality Buff Brahma; hopefully she loses her white feathers. looks like she's half light brahma half BB)

Jr. (cuckoo marans; my little buddy)

Moe (white cochin)
I wonder what colored egg Cleo will lay? All of your EE's are so colorful and different, I wish I got more then two. It looks like Pipsqueak finally feathered out pretty good. You're going to have a variety of colors with your eggs. Did you get any white egg layers? I so want a maran for the dark eggs.

They all are so pretty now!

And it doesn't look like I posted these, so here we go!

So cute! How many boys do you have now?

Pipd - I check the marans everyday several times and so far nothing for my day yet. I'm hoping my persistence pays off. On our 3rd order we were able to get the Egyptian and the frizzle, I'm hoping the frizzle is a roo. How do you like the Egyptian so far?

Lynn- Congrats on the first egg! It looks perfect..

NotableNancy- I hope my EE looks just like Izzy! She is beautiful

Sometimes they will have more hatch than they expected, so you can always call and ask the day before they ship. :fl Hope you can get one, they are such darlings!

My little black frizzle Cochin is a sweetheart, very tame. I try not to handle him too much so that he's a respectful rooster when he grows up, and even so he doesn't mind the few occasions I do pick him up. I was wanting a boy when I ordered one, too. ;)

My Fayoumi, Marama, is a little spazz! She is full of energy and loves to fly around like a little maniac. She is very shy toward people, though. She's okay with me if I sit still and let her come to me, and will even hop into my lap if I sit with the chicks long enough, but she runs and peeps in terror if I try to reach for her. Definitely a wild one!

I placed another order for 9/30 and got a blue splash marans, golden cuckoo marans and cuckoo marans. I actually got the last golden cuckoo! I'm very happy I didn't wait till tomorrow to place the order.
