Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

mschickenmomma, I've got my fingers crossed for your sunni!!

My hubby went out to the coop at 7:30 this morning and this was already in the nest box; the white egg is a large from the store, just for comparison. It's an olive egg!!!!!!!! It looks a bit more olive in the photo than real life but it's a beautiful deep green and another brown today too. I am assuming it is Izzy's egg because she has been the only one squatting for me and she was in and out of the coop squawking all day yesterday. The brown egg looks like the same color as the other day so I'm assuming it's Scarlett again. So exciting!!!! My cochin has been in and out of the box this morning a lot too as well as Junior. So much fun!!!

They are beautiful!!! Congrats!!!! I wish Olivia would start laying those green or blue eggs. I've ordered 2 more EE's I tried to add more, but no more females were available for the hatch date. We had this one this morning: It is so much lighter then the other brown ones we've been getting before, I am thinking Big Mama the BO laid it. She came in and kept talking to my daughter and me in the coop when we were getting it, the others just stayed out. So I think she is laying, not sure. But I had no eggs yesterday, and I thought Ash would just skip one day not two. Maybe it is hers, but it is more round and lighter, so confused.

We haven't been able to get hardly any food into Sunni's system in 3 days, and today someone suggesting giving her pureed scrambled egg and yogurt. We were able to give it to her from the syringe like water, and she now has a tiny crop full of food. The food did her a lot if good too because she was preening and even took a dust bath! I think now that we have a way of getting her some food that she has a much better chance of pulling through this. Fingers crossed!

That's why BYC is so great. So many people willing to help and some great ideas out there we would never know about. So glad you got food into her and she's perkier.

Keep checking Meyers site... Maybe more EEs will be available. What's one or 2 more right?? Pretty egg. I'm voting it's big mamas egg because it's so different than Ash's.

I hope Sunni pulls through. So glad someone told you about the egg/water mix and that it's working.

Nancy... I love the egg. So jealous! Our EE will be 23 weeks in a couple days and still no egg.

Once I clean my room and stuff, my mom will talk to me about ordering some chicks from Meyers.
I know I'm getting Buff Brahmas... Not sure about what other breeds I might get!
But note to self - sometime in the future order a load of EE's. O.O

Dopey me... I didn't get any white egg layers!!!!  Next time    
I started with 2 EE's in my order, changed it to 3 then changed to 4.  So glad I did. They're all so different looking but I'm sure it's the luck of the draw
on how they end up looking. I could have gotten 4 very similar looking girls. 

I have the opposite problem lol I have too many white layers. That's one of the reasons why I didn't wanna order a few EEs cause with my luck they would all be the same. When junior lays can you post a pic? I would love to see one of her eggs

I do keep checking, if they do become available, I'll have to trade out some of the others, not sure which ones but most likely a brown layer, I'm going to have so many brown egg ones.
It may just be Ash's, but with that serious squatting she is doing, she should be soon. Still it is so light in color? Chickens are so hard to figure out, I need that nest box camera!

That is great! The Buff Brahmas are beautiful chickens. Will these be your first chickens?

My EE, Olivia will be 23 weeks on Monday and no eggs too. Guess it depends on what chicken they were crossed with because Maddie the EE I lost was laying at 19 weeks.
