And here is the ducks. They wasted no time diving in their water bowl. Does their leg tape fall off or do I need to take it off?

I will take better pics later today, but I wanted to get these up so you guys could see the babies.

Adorable!!! Our Swedish did the same thing...so we named her Ornery, it seemed to fit. Eventually she stopped. Unless they are going for the eyes they can't really cause all that much damage. We took the tape off ourselves. The suggestions for the chicks sound good. You can also try wet cat food, I have read about some success with it in boosting lagging birds.

I'm not sure if it's a protein deficiency, or boredom. They were outside running around when the feather picking started. I have them on DuMor grower/finisher right now. If it is a deficiency, I'm not sure what they are missing.

I hung a cabbage in the coop to try and keep them busy for a while. They just need to stop being scared of it and start picking at it.

Where can you buy Blukote? I might need to look into getting that.
Oh just remembered when I was typing the last message, try wet cat food. It is high in protein. I have not used the DuMor brand so honestly have no input on it. The only thing available (without driving all the way to kingdom come and back aka across town) is Purina brand. It has worked good for us.
Here's what I got at TSC
It is available most anywhere you find feed. We got the dabber style. Our EE dances and is jumpy when she doesn't want to be touched so figured the spray would freak her out. Just so you know....it turns anything it touches purple/blue!....birds, clothes, YOU. I had smurf fingers for a few days!

Got a lot of pen explosion questions, then a look of confusion when I said it was for a chicken problem.

Everyone arrived this morning!! The ducks seem fine and all the chicks but the EE seem to be doing good. The EE looks like she has wry neck so I've separated her with the frizzle(he looked a lil weak but is doing much better but he is SOOO tiny everyone is pushing him around) and I mixed them up some grogel, chick starter, water and a lil pinch of sugar. She still has lil fits where she puts he head back and sprawls hers legs out and flips on her back. But it last like 2 mins then she is in the food and water bowl eating and drinking. Any tips would be GREATLY appreciated!

Btw I will post pics soon, I've just fallen way behind on morning chores for the other animals so when I'm done I will post them.

Wry neck is a deficiency in Vitamin E. Get some vitamin E and drop it right in her mouth or mix with some food if she's eating. You'll notice her improve pretty quick but it usually takes at least a couple days to a week to fully resolve itself.

Our coop seems so quiet. We have 4 girls at fair this week. Tomorrow is the show and showmanship. Cross your fingers for my daughter that she makes it through. She is super shy about talking to people when she thinks they are judging her. Now at the chicken swap there's no problem and she'll talk people's ears off! lol! I told her to just imagine the judge is a person at the swap interested in learning about chickens. She's not really going for it but hopefully she finds the courage to make it.

Trsturself- hope your daughter does well! I totally understand her shyness, I'm the same way. Keep us updated! Who did she take with her?

The EE isn't out of the woods yet but I sure hopes she makes it! She is really trying but i think she also got trampled a good bit during shipping.I'm already in love with all of them. I'm gonna have to get a couple more EEs on my next order, those lil guys are addicting!

I know these guys aren't from Meyers but I just had to share this picture of my 4 silkies. They were all turned around looking at me and as soon as I grab my phone they turned and gave me a nice pic of their butts
