Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

I went to TSC to get chicken feed today, and they had chicks and ducks there. They had a tub of bantams (no silkies), a tub of Leghorns, a tub of assorted reds, and 3 tubs of ducks. They were so cute! The ducks and bantams were straight run, but the rest were pullets. It took a lot of hard work and self control to walk out of that store with just the chicken feed that I went in for. Lol

53 more days until my babies arrive!

Farmgirl & Farmguy: That is a nice variety of chicks. I hope that you end up with all girls, we have a few that we're wondering about now, I hope that we do not have roosters. The countdown begins for when you get your chicks, I see why you are losing sleep.

MsChickenMomma: It is hard to resist at the TSC, so many cute chicks! and ducks! It takes a lot of willpower.

That's a great variety you're getting My son really wanted a silkie but I was worried about the st run. If he got attached and it was a roo it would have to go. He is 15 so it's not like he wouldnt 'get it' but I'd feel bad. Those Silkies are so completely adorable.

I'm anxious to hear about your BA's. Mine are the first to come running when I put my hand in the brooder with food in it. Within 30 seconds I have 10 of them swarming all over my hand eating the food and trying to climb up my arm. I like to think its cause they love me but I think they just like to climb up and eat. My sons thought it was hysterical when they did it. I wish we got chicks when they were younger rather than teens but I guess it's never to late.

Just think... Your little chicks will be hatching sometime tomorrow!!! How fun!

I was going to ask you if you thought you had any. Who's looking rooish? Do you have pics? Are they 4 weeks old now or 5?
So far, none of them have the bright red combs and wattles. They will be 5 weeks tomorrow. We have a few that could be roos, but then there are other things about them that say hen. So the ones that could be are one of the Barred Rocks's, the Columbian Wyandotte, the Silver Laced Wyandotte, maybe the lighter colored Easter Egger and one of the Rhode Island Red's.

We're getting a BA in our next order, it's good to hear how friendly they are (we were supposed to have one in this last order, but somehow it was not in there). Our most friendly ones are the BR's, the BO, the Dominique and the WL. Our Blue Cochin can be friendly too at times. The EE's, RIR's, CW and SLW's do not like to be touched or held, they act like were trying to kill them when we do touch them.

I'll try to get some more pics of them at 5 weeks, maybe all of you can help me guess the gender. If you'd like?
