That's the loooong way of saying that the shipping label was printed and the package was shipped but the lazy a** PO workers didn't feel like scanning the package just to add a little more stress to your life. Have no fear, they shipped; I get this message all the time when I ship my eBay packages!

No problem.

I recall my barred Rocks having pretty big feet, but they're all girls. They're also among the largest in my flock now.

The SL Wyandotte I think is a girl. Boys tend to have solid black necks and mostly white shoulders at around that age. Leg size, specifically thick legs, can indicate boys, but it's usually leg size in combination with other factors, which is why I am leaning toward pullet on the Columbian Wyandotte. Not much comb, no obvious wattles, etc.

Your Leghorn is for sure a girl. Even the hens get big combs in Leghorns, and your girl has a tiny comb in comparison. Nothing about the Rhodies seems boyish, either. My two accidental Rhodie boys had pretty prominent red combs by that age.
Thank you again. Being a newbie, I am just guessing and hoping. That was very reassuring to read.

Oh ok good!!! Thanks alot for that info Nancy..just confirms what I was wondering..Well we will see what tomorrow brings..happy chickening everyone and I hope everyones chicks/chickens are all well!!

It is very annoying that they do not update the USPS site like UPS and FedEx do. I'm sure that they are on their way. You are probably right that you'll get them Wednesday morning. Just plan on getting them then and if they arrive tomorrow even better.

Here are pics of my 1 week old Blue Ameracauna and Silver Laced Wyandotte, as well as my one day old Blue Orpington, White Crested Blue Polish, Silver Laced Polish and Silver Spangled Hamburg.

The Blue Orp has fuzzy feet, but other than that I think they are all pretty much true to form.

Coming home with me in 2 weeks will be a Blue Splash Maran, a Gold Laced Wyandotte, and a Columbian Wyandotte. (If I'd known while I was there today that they had a Spitzhauben available, she'd have been in my front seat riding home with me, too!)

Very nice CrazyChick they look very good!! Your in ohio so did you go to meyer and buy them or??
Yes, it dawned on me after I posted them that I did not specifically say Meyer, although this is the Meyer pic thread. I drove there from Toledo area and picked them up in person. Too few to ship safely.

Having a little trouble deciding which is the Hamburg and which is the Blue Orp, since neither one should have feathered feet, as far as I can determine.

Does the feather-legged one have a beardy face? It almost looks like a white Sultan. The last picture looks like the Hamburg to me.

P.S. Let me know what you think of your little splash Marans. ;) My girl, Frou-Frou, was a little shy as a chick, but she was practically living in my arms by the time she was a month old.

Nope, no beardy face. I ordered a white sultan last week, but it died shortly after getting her home. Doesn't look the same to me. And yes the last one is th Hamburg I believe.

I'm thinking maybe the yellow will turn out to be a splash orp, since blue doesn't breed true. But still wondering about the feathery feet.
