A large weave cheesecloth might work but it will probably get pretty gunked up too. I didn't have much luck fermenting pellets. They stunk, got moldy, and were hard to strain. For those I just took a scoop of them and held the edge of my scooper against the edge of the bucket and tried to pour off any liquid.
So... I went to Big R to get my husband a replacement BR and ended up coming home with 7 chicks. lol! (who's surprised? no one!)
I'm the one who only sees URL code when I reply with a quote included on my Kindle Fire. I noticed that the picture sizes are all included in the code when I quote, but it's a pain to fiddle with the sizes that way because you don't know how big the pic will end up until you actually submit your reply.
But I'm having another problem with quotes on my Kindle. When I hit the quote button for a message that has multiple quotes within it, only part of the whole message I want to quote appears in the editor window. How much seems to be pretty much random, except that it is never the whole message. It often only quotes the last part of the message. This is very annoying, as often I am trying to reply to something the member mentions earlier in their message. Anybody else have this problem? (Sorry, I know this is not about Meyer Chick Pictures, but since we've been discussing related issues I thought I'd ask).

Has anyone with a Meyer Olive Egger gotten an egg yet?
I ferment both pellets and crumbles together and it does get a little soupy, I have a large strainer and I take an old large yogurt container and scoop it out into the strainer over the fermenting bucket, do this a few times,I don't strain all the liquid off as it's good for them too, full of good probiotics and such. Sure it's not great, I used to ferment with two 5 gallon brackets. One had holes dialed in the bottom, but still had the same issues. I think I drilled too many holes and I think the holes should be drilled on the side of the bucket like trust does. Have revamped my system yet. Too many projects right now.The last thing I need is gunk! I may just scoop like you're saying. I have about 25# of layer pellets left and I like them as a dry food source. I haven't had too much smell or any mold.
