Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

I'm sure not all of the chicks hatch on sun/mon to ship in time so what do they do with the ones who hatch later in the week? Are they the "adopt me bargain"

Mine came from a breeder, I guess they wanted to be like the hatchery chicks and hatch on the same day..

I think the late hatching babies go into the adopt me bargain, or at least that's what it implies on the site. :) (And oops, I thought yours were Meyer babies, too. )

No your good, mine are coming soon tho! Your babies are getting so big and po is getting more adorable by the day!

Lol I totally didn't notice that till you said something! Poor baby, if he doesn't grow one I'm pretty sure you'll have the cutest fluffball in the world!

speaking of dogs Lynn did they ever catch the dog that did this? I am so glad the rest of your girls are doing better.
I'm not sure, I plan on calling them tomorrow to see, I sure hope so.

So I almost read this entire thread but happy I went with Meyer when adding some more Black Copper Marans toy flock. After reading tho I'm thinking of adding to my order, have a bunch of Roos to replace anyways. My order is supposed to ship July 15. I can't wait to get them. Thought I was done with chick for the year but most of my marans I bought from local breeders ended up cockerels :-(
Just a couple of weeks away. Exciting!

Lynn, Big Mama's looking better, at least! Swelling could be right. I don't have any experience with those types of injuries, so I will just keep my fingers crossed for her and Oreo.

Thank you! I just forced some food in her beak before bedtime tonight. She wasn't happy but she ate it. I guess I'll keep doing that until she eats on her own. I hope that is soon. Oreo keeps going back and forth, she ate pretty good in the midday, but not so much tonight. It has been so nasty and rainy, I guess they were ready to sleep early since the weather is making it dark earlier.

I really wish this rain here would stop. It is so muddy everywhere!
Okie dokie, here are my babies at 7 weeks old!
They are such cute little mini chickens and getting so big.

I was planning on waiting a few years, but with losing so many chickens, I'll be back on Meyer's again once they open up ordering for the Spring of 2014.

We lost the little chipmunk.
I was just saying today how far she had come. She was standing properly and eating on her own without needing support and without falling over. I went back a few hours later to give her some more wet food and she was too sleepy to eat. I knew then it was a problem. I tried to force her to eat but she just let the food sit in her mouth. She was dead an hour later. :(

I've had chicks in the house since Feb! As cute as they are I'm ready for them all to be outside! I'm done with chicks this year!

I'm sorry you lost her, I was hoping she was out of the woods. With the year you've had with these chicks I don't blame you for being done!

I had a little Partridge Rock for less than a week before she died and I wonder once in a while what she would have looked and acted like.
