Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

I think you're right about this one being the SS. I got one from Meyer last week and mine looks just like that (except she's started growing wing feathers already)
Thanks! I can usually tell them apart when I'm by their brooder as there are 2 wel's and only one s.sussex but once I i just looking through pictures I couldnt tell who was who!

The Cochin is not splash, she would be mostly white with a little grey.

Speckled Sussex look like they have cute yellow/white bibs on

Edited to add :
I should have said that I think the Cochin is a blue, not splash or black.
Awesome! To be honest I would be fine with blue or splash (as I already have 2 black hens so I was mainly hoping she didn't end up black too) but deep down I was hoping for a blue...

Why not a buff Orp? That's what she looks like to me.

I thought that at first too since a buff o was already a part of my order I figured they sent two of them but now I'm noticing the two are looking a little different. I think this is the buff orp:

The chick in question has smaller wings and is looking lighter in color.[/QUOTE]
I would say this one is either a Golden Buff (red sex link) or a White Rock.

I really hope not..meal makers are supposed to be girls. :-\
No, they can be either. Their description says that you raise them to butchering or laying age and the meat or the eggs will be given to someone in need. So meat if it's a boy, eggs if it's a girl. It says if you order all layers they won't stick you with a meat bird, but I think they could easily throw in a male from a layer breed even though it says they'll give you a female. It's a free bird after all.

Ugh well I really hope that's not the case. I had a feeling getting a meal maker was gonna but me on the butt!

To me, it looks like one of my Delawares. Here is a photo for comparison:

A Delaware is at the bottom left of the photo. Behind her to the left is a Golden Buff (as well as at the bottom right peeking out from under the brinsea) and on her other side a Buff Orpington (another is on the top right of the brinsea). The Delawares started out looking like your classic yellow chick and have gotten more whit each week. My son named one Tweety, but Casper would have been more appropriate!

I'm pretty sure your white Rock is actually a white Jersey Giant, Giants have grey shanks while Rocks have yellow.

Your meal maker could be a male BO which could explain the different feathering.
Not true, if you only order layers, Meyer will only give out a pullet if you order layers and you receive a st run meat chick if you order meat chickens.
