Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

@NotableNancy it sounds like you have a good plan, that's what I would do too. Being ready with a separation cage is a great idea too, those meanies can really be rough on the little ones. So what is in your flock now? What ages and what are you getting? Think I have lost track.

How are the featherless ones doing now too?

Right now I have 10 big girls (RIR, 3 EE, 2BA, CW, Cochin, BR and BB) 7 little girls (2 Brabanter, 2 EE, 2 CCL and 1 white Silkie still wondering if boy or girl) I'm thinking of changing my Sept order to 1 Leghorn, 1 EE, 1 Rare Marans, 3 Golden Buff and 1 Welsummer but still not positive. I will probably give away the meanies (CW, Cochin and 1 BA) maybe another one as well. I'd like to keep it to 18 chickens.
Moe my Cochin is growing in new feathers but I was away for a day and came home to a run full of white feathers again so she's still losing some of her old feathers. I thought she was finished losing and just growing!
I have Cleo my clean faced EE in a broody cage. She is not a happy camper and is trying desperately to get out. I may have to put her in my garage tonight in the cage so she doesn't wake the neighborhood at first light tomorrow morning. She is seriously broody!! Wish I could give her eggs but it's way to soon.

I've been busy here my son and daughter-in-law came for a visit on Thursday and just left, my other son and daughter-in-law who live nearby came by today too. We've been feeding the crew. So nice to have all 3 of my adult children here at one time, does not happen often enough. My husband has enjoyed it a lot since we celebrated Father's Day last weekend, throughout the week, then this weekend, plus the World Cup is on, so he's in heaven.

Lots of cooking and cleaning, but even though great fun! ...and I am completely out of eggs since I just sent the last six dozen home with my oldest son.

Sounds like my perfect day!! Lots of work but so worth it to have the family there :)

Now it's time to go out in the heat and let the chickens free range for awhile. Always relaxing....

Picked up my CCL chicks today (1 boy, 1 girl). I separated off a section of the coop with chicken wire and put the eco glow in there. Every time I went to check on them they had figured a way out. I put them back in there when I went to shut everyone up. They seemed content under the ecoglow. I left and walked around the property a little checking on things, came back and checked on them and they were both out again. One was roosting half way up the roosts and the other was almost to the top of the roosts. I took them down and set them on the shelf a bunch of the younger girls sleep on. They snuggled up under a silkie and were content. I watched for a long time to make sure the older girls weren't going to kick them out, but they all just laid there. I hope they are ok in the morning. I put our 3 BCM under the brooder instead even though they don't need it, they didn't seem to be able to get comfortable tonight.
I'll try to take some pics of the CCL tomorrow afternoon. The girl is starting to get her crest, so cute. :)
We need pics!!!! They sound like little devils... gotta love it :)

My three new Meyer birds shipped this morning!  Can't wait for new chicks this Wednesday!

Yay! I NEED pictures. I have two more months and everyone else's pictures are the only thing keeping me holding on!

Hang in there! I don't want to wish the summer away, but, 2 months can fly by!

Yay! The official countdown begins!
Official insanity begins!!! I've had some unexpected expenses & have no where near what I need saved to order my coop...thankfully, the chicks won't need it for awhile, but I wanted to order it the 1st of Aug...guess it will be the end of Aug/middle of Sept. I will be scrambling to get it done in time!

Uh oh! That 21 day count down is a rough one.

I am having a hard time sticking with plan A-"Meyer will add them". I just contacted someone here about an ameraucana pullet

I am just so in love with these birds.
Yeah - I have my fingers crossed that a BLRW gets added...though the Columbia W is interesting, though sold out...and if all else fails a Buff Orp would be a great layer as well. It might be a last minute "see what hatches" kind of thing...

I'm also stalking my local breeders page to see when the next clutch of cream legbar chicks arrive - going to snatch up 2 females from that group!
