Somebody needs to take my internet away! After spending the day running chicken errands and working out in the coop (auto-water finally together and Peppy's roost up and painted).......I added a speckled Sussex to my order! Oh no! I was just realizing how many black, blue, and white chickens I'll have. Needed to balance with a little more brown. Plus, I've always admired them. shoot! Now, I will have to tell DH they gave me an extra...how did that happen???
OMG... that's what I was thinking of adding but went with a SLW instead. There's still time though LOL. Face it, we're chicken obsessed!!!

Glad I could get everyone started on a new animal. Chickens are the gateway animal after all ...
Everyone would love our goats even more if you could visit with them. They are so sweet and love attention. Being dwarfs helps make their mischief cute instead of totally destructive. Ours are Nigerian Dwarfs. Perfect size. They say they have excellent milk but I haven't decided yet if I want to breed the girl (our boy is neutered).

Sorry I've been MIA this week...work has been insane! I'm up for a promotion, so I've been doing a lot of extra stuff trying to "show what I can do". I hate the corporate games, but this promotion would FINALLY be a big pay jump & a step into official management.
Anyways, it is so hard to believe my CCL are 1 week old today!!! Gidget and Gizmo are so stinking cute! They are little cuddle bugs too! They like the hide and play in my hair, now that it is long enough that they can get into it!
I took their 1 week pics today, along with some updates of Brownie & Coco! None of my chicks right now are Meyer's chicks... but only 10 days until we make that trip! I just did the mapquest of the route - it's 4.5 hrs to get there, 1 hr more than I though, but that's ok. We are planning a stop on the way home to Jungle Jim's in Cinncinnati - to stretch our legs. It's a huge grocery store/entertainment center. I'm going to bring my box of chicks in, inside a 31 utility tote. IT should be loud enough in there that any peeps would be drowned out! We won't stay long - just long enough to look around, stretch legs, get a few snacks, etc.
