Thanks!
Thank you! It amazes me how great they look. I am trying to decide what to do if the person I've been dealing with does not come through. Thanks again! Thanks!she is a bit wet..... She is not smart enough to get out of the rain I guess. She came white and pale legs but now has a light pale slate legs and a beautiful splash look to her. All of her toes are white.![]()
I don't know if that's normal for splash. I've been told that the pale legs is just a splash thing.
The blue looks good but has I think 1 to many white toe nails to show. Also she had crazy puffy cheeks as a chick but they have recently disappeared! I hope that it's just that she is getting her adult feathers in. The splash did not have puffy cheeks as much when she was starting out but now I don't know if I have ever seen a 12 week old with as big of tuffs!![]()
Yep!
- please! Can anybody who has the ameraucanas from Meyer post pics? I'm really interested to see what they look like.
- so pretty can't wait for his feathering to come in. Please keep us posted!
beautiful birds there, so are those colors considered "rare" or "exotic"?she is a bit wet..... She is not smart enough to get out of the rain I guess. She came white and pale legs but now has a light pale slate legs and a beautiful splash look to her. All of her toes are white.![]()

- wow there is so much to learn about chickens! Well I believe we got a Barnevelder or two and I guess they are considered rare as well, they are from Meyer, obviously since I am posting in this thread, lol!The are blue ameraucana's but when you breed blue to blue you only get 50% blue the rest are black and splash. But when you breed black and splash you get all blue. I believe they are classified as rare. All purebred ameraucana's are. Most people that think they have them actually have Easter eggers. Meyer is the only hatchery that I know of that has pure breeds and only blue variety. Altho I think you can get them from my pet chicken as well as they drop ship from meyer
- so are you getting replacement hens? Or are you just ordering, just wondering what their procedure is when you get the "pullet" pack and you get a few roo's? I have to post some better pics of everyone. So Meyer has everything I want two weeks early....I'll be able to trade the white leghorn for the exchequer but will have to trade BCM for cuckoo. What do you guys think? This will also let me add the blue ameraucanas so I'll be getting a refund from the seller I've been talking to for the past few weeks.
