Hey, all! I know that there have been a couple of threads about Meyer on the forum, but to my knowledge none of them have ever had many pictures of the stock people received from Meyer. Well, here's where I'd ask that you would upload photos like crazy! Regardless of breed or gender, just post away as long as they are Meyer Hatchery stock (Meyer in Ohio, that is).

    Let's get chickening! [IMG]

There have been many, many photos that depict Meyers stock. They are as good or better than most.

Fred, I'd love to know what breed that is. They look very much like my golden sex-link hens and I just love them so much but they don't seem to be that common. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places or there's another name like golden star I'm missing. Anyways thanks in advance if you see this.

Quote:Not a breed, but a sex link, of course. Meyers has this strange name for them. "Golden Buffs". Weird really. They remind me of a Bovan Brown and may well be. They are excellent layers, but the ISA Browns from Townline are still tops in my book. The "Golden Buffs are friendly, but just a tad flighty.

We recieved these girls in March of this year and they have all began laying except one, our Buff Orp but she is close. The Partridge Rocks are huge now, I need updated photos, but they lay the biggest brown eggs of any, along with one of our Buff Orps. The Speckled Sussex started first at 17 weeks and she is the funniest of the bunch, but all were healthy and service was impecable, I highly recommend, we will order more this spring.

Quote:Be-e-eautiful birds! [IMG] Meyer's stock looks like it may be what I'm desiring: something that gets big! Like the look of those EE's especially. I've been considering Meyer EE's.

Thanks again everyone for your uploads! Keep 'em comin', if you've got more. If I'm going to go through a hatchery, it might just be Meyer [IMG]

I've had a very positive experience with Meyer Hatchery. The only thing that happened wrong, is I got a Rhode Island Rooster instead of a Female, which was only 90% garenteed that they would get it right. I will get my money back for it anyway.

I also have a Red Sex Link (Golden Buff) but I don't have any pictures yet. She is too skittish for me to get good ones.
