I recently ordered ten ducklings from Meyer Hatchery. I chose them because I believed that the ducks were located in Polk, Ohio which is what their contact information shows on their website. Polk, Ohio is only a couple of hours from where I live and chose them because I didn't want to use a hatchery that was really far away so that the animals would not have to be in transit any longer than necessary. After the ducklings shipped, I found out that they were coming from California. I called to ask about it and was told that they do not keep everything at their Ohio location. They said that their chicken hatchery is in Polk, Oh, their duck hatchery is in California and the turkeys come from somewhere else. I told them that I chose their hatchery because I believed it to be only two hours from me and that I wished I had known that was not entirely the case. I couldn't find anywhere on their site that makes the customer aware of this. I am posting this information so that others will be aware of their different hatchery locations. If you are like me and try to use hatchery's nearby, you may find this information helpful.

Yep, they do ship from California. I believe they are actually shipping from Metzer, since a lot of the pictures they use on their site of the ducklings and geese are Metzer's pictures.
