Meyer orders?

Has anyone ordered from Meyer? I got my australorps chicks from them the spring of 07' and was very pleased with them and their prices and and shipping costs.
I don't recall seeing anyone on here that has ordered from Meyer.
I would like to order some Delaware chicks for eggs. What do you think?

A friend of mine has ordered from them several times w/o problems. If I get to order this year, it will be from them.

I ordered 21 babies from Meyer in March of last year. They were scheduled for hatch on July 21st and I had 22 chirping babies arrive here on the 22nd! I lost one SF at 4 days old (they are very fragile at hatch) but the rest have been wonderful.

I did not pay for overnight shipping or anything but they hatched and were in the box and on the way here....tucked in a nice nest with a heating pad under them.

The correct ratio for me was I ordered 21 pullets and I received 20 pullets and 1 roo...and an extra which was a pullet of a breed I ordered 1 of.

I really love Meyer and will order from them again. I did not order Delawares but I ordered:

I really like Meyer too. Their selection may be a bit smaller than some places, but I consider that a good thing. I really think they do better quality control because of it and they're a smaller family-run business, so they take real care of things.

Also, sometimes they have breeds not in the catalog, they have good staff and if you call you can find out if they have anything different coming up. That's probably(possibly?) true of other smaller places too... not sure about that! I called 'off season' once and got someone a bit unsure of things, but a supervisor called me back with more info, so it was all good.

I also have a good friend who swears by Mt Healthy, I can recommend them because of that, he’s a very common sense person who’s opinions I respect, but I like Meyer a lot.

My order from Meyers will be here on march 10th. I paid for express shipping so that they would come the next day. I only ordered 19 chicks, im wondering if they will stick some peanuts in my box?

I will let everyone know how it goes. Im so excited.

I order a bunch of cresteds from them for the first time. They're scheduled to arrive on April 22, sent out on th 20th. We'll see how it goes...

I thought I would love ordering from Meyers but it turned out to be a real disappointment.

So in short: I would not order from them again. I would have had an easier time getting over it if they could have said: 'sorry things didn't go as planned' rather than insist that this is how it goes. If this is normal and acceptable for them rather than just an unfortunate series of events then I am definitely not ordering from there again...
