Hi All,

I suspect my chickens and ducks had MG, unfortunately a row got in and killed them all about 1.5 months ago. I have only today cleared out the coop but my question is, Will the disease be dead? My plan is to get some more chickens in about 6 weeks. Is this a silly idea?

Thanks in advance

What killed your chickens and duck? Mycoplasma only remains alive in the environment for several days. After a thorough cleaning, you should be able to add new healthy birds. Sorry for your loss.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately a fox get in. It is quite difficult to thoroughly clean my coop (stupid design) do you think that will matter if left for long enough? Thanks again
