Thanks, Andrea!!! You're right. I expected there to be quitters, but it's always kind of sad. Esp. to see the baby after it dies, and hold it. It was so cute.

Yes, I took pictures. I always hesitate to share because many people don't want to see a chick that passed away.

That's insane!!! Yeah, I know. I feel like it's kind of weird to own and raise chickens but not want to see a dead chick. I mean, I get that it's sad and all, but still. Idk.
That's crazy though. Neat pictures. It would have really been something if that chick had hatched!

Day 15 today, my 5 babies are still going strong. 3 BBS Ameraucana X BBS Orpingtons (with a chance for pure BBS Ameraucanas), and 2 purebred Lavender/black-split Ameraucanas.

I agree, I would have loved a short pudgy little chicken but it seems it wasn't meant to be.
