It got worse over night. It also looks like my hen may have poked it a bit where you see the blood. But its all dry blood now. She doesn't seem shrink wrapped and I can hear her cheeping.

Oh wow, the hen did this? Do you have an incubator set up? I would definitely take this baby from the hen. Also is there a visible pip so you know the chick is getting air?

I do have an incubator but its totally full right now. There is a hole in the membrane where that touch of blood is. But no she has not pipped. I think im gonna go moisten the membrane with hot water to be able to see how its doing in the and if the blood vessels are mostly absorbed.

I had to help the little thing out. She wasn't looking so good. Not energetic at all. So I opened up where the air sac was and she had internally pipped. No blood or yolk left. So I carefully made a circle around her peeling a bit of the membrane off until she stretched out. I left her bottom half in the shell and tucked her back under her momma. My hens a bit weird. She went straight in a pulled off the egg from her. So I guess thats that . She's looking good now though. Looks to be blue. Also another one hatched while I sorted all this out!! It looks like red and blue and white and stuff. Hard to tell rn. But, my broody also crushed a smaller hole in another egg. Its a smaller hole and its around where the egg already pipped so Im not gonna touch it of course. Hopefully my broody figures it all out eventually.

Does Anyone on BYC sell and ship hatching eggs?

I shipped another 2 dozen eggs out to California today, that is my 3rd shipment this year. I hope that all 3 of the shipments result in new flocks, as I'm worried the Arkansas Blues might die out if more people don't have them. Let me know if anyone wants eggs to hatch.

@CHlCKEN , if you would like blue eggs, maybe you could contact @1muttsfan? She's in Michigan.

The shell is so damaged that you may need to open the air cell part where you would be able to normally see the internal pip. I would be concerned that the hen may attack the chick at this point. That isn't normal behavior to do that to an egg.
