Yeah mine waited like 12 hours before they started zipping. One even longer but I cant be sure how long because it started zipping sometime overnight. I just know it pipped in the morning when I went out there (7:30 or so), then I checked on them at 8:00, and there she was in the morning! But anyways, nothing to worry about.
. I was away for a few days with a farm sitter. As the pilot said to turn on airplane mode I got a text saying my dogs had gotten out and somehow broke her toe. Nothing else, just the toe, so thats really lucky I guess. But I have her inside now in a little laundry basket. Apparently she is very well potty trained. I let her out like every few hours, she goes within like 30 seconds, then I put her back. She won't eat, drink, or sleep without a chick so I gave her one to take care of still. She seems alright though. Still a bit shaken up from the whole thing. But its a shame I have to separate those chicks. They were very happy being free range all the time.
