You will prob want to keep chickens away from it. You also don't want them falling into the bucket.

That's the problem. Makes no sense to set it up in the run at night when the rats have no reason to be out, since the feeder's capped...had a trail cam going for a while & saw no nighttime activity anyway.
Useless to place it where the rats ain't, and can't shut the chickens out...feed, water, & coop all there.

Put it outside the pen, the rats will show for peanut butter. If they show up outside the pen than the same ones will be in your pen. Couldn't hurt
