Hi & I'm thrilled to be a new member!

I have 6 Rhodie girls for about 2 yrs now. I'm kinda freaking out cause, I caught my girls eating a fresh dead rodent! I don't know how it died. There are quit a few of them that come out when the girls go to bed. I've raised chickens a few times in my life, but never run across this before! My question is: Can I eat the eggs, or should I wait a few days till it runs out of their system?
I appreciate any & all input! Thanks!

There's some in our garage, but that's about 200+ feet away from the enclosed yard. When I see them, they're coming out from blackberry bushes right next to the yard.

Our chickens probably eat more stuff like that then we ever know. Something else that a lot of people don't realize is how predator-like chickens can be, I've watched mine destroy toads, salamanders and young chicks.
