Michigan Chickenstock 2011

Can you get off at the Grand Ledge exit? Then all you have to do is go north on Canal which turns into Old River Rd and leads you right to the park.

I will be coming from west side of MI, are there any constructions/ road blocks that I should be aware of? This is my first long road trip ever, and I am a bit nervous driving by myself, (well not exactly by myself cause I will be bringing poultry)

although it will be an interesting experience.

Sorry, don't know anything from that direction. I'm in Davison, but I go to Lansing every week. I know I69 real well. lol

So disappointed I can't go, because I have to be at a conference in Indiana that weekend. But I am sending my husband! He was pretty much against my plan to get chickens for the backyard, but now he adores them and didn't seem to mind my telling him he had to attend.

We live in Albion, so he doesn't have too far to go. Just don't tell anyone we have peeps, cause they're technically illegal.

Sorry that you won't be able to make it and don't worry about your illegal birds cuz there won't be a peep out of us.

Of course we're liable to send your husband home with some.

Since this is my first Chickestock, what do I need to bring along? Is it like a picnic? Or more like a swap meet?

Both. If you have something delish to bring, that would be great. If you have birds to give away or sell, that would be great. If you just want good company and very good food, come and joing us.

So how many folks would be interested in fresh honey?
I'd like to get an idea of how much I should bring for Chicken stock.

I have 8 oz., 1 lb, 2 lb and even some gallons available.
