Michigan Chickenstock 2013 Buy/Sell/Trade

In California when it was legal to sale raw milk I got very sick and thought I was going to die I was about ten at the time

Yes, we've all bought bad milk from the store at times, I'm sure. And had food poisoning. But good, raw milk from a reputable farmer or cow share can't be beat. It's much healthier for you and far easier on the digestive system. Even people who have problems with the stuff at the grocery store do so much better with it. You should try it again sometime. The milk I used to get always outlasted the store bought stuff. I felt much better when I had it fresh, too.

My dad got it from a small market that had raw milk, home cheese, butter and things like that.

I've got 3 broody hens that are disrupting my coop - I can loan them to you!!!

I have a broody cuckoo marans, a broody EE, and a broody Isa Brown. They are fighting over every egg that is laid by the other chickens. I gave them golf balls and fake eggs for now. I should have just let them hatch a few eggs so they could get this out of their systems. Most of the other hens won't go near the nest boxes now, laying went from 18 eggs/day down to 5 or 6 (one day I only got 2!!!). I've set up other boxes for them to lay in and that's starting to help a bit. They are even laying in an old cement mixer and in the duck's nest.
