Michigan Chickenstock 2013 - planning ahead!

I like the idea of having a standing date of the third Saturday of June each year.

Kimmie, I think I missed a ton as well. Yes, I definitely think we could get a bit better organized for the selling area.

Silly, would you update your original post with the names of the folks doing what they have volunteered for? That will be a good way to keep track, right in the first post! Thanks!

OK, lets get started by listing some of the things we can do to spread the fun... no sense letting Opa hog it all! :) I'm not saying this is how it has to be.. I just tossed out my ideas! Lets hear yours!

The Delta Mills park pavilion can't be reserved until first business day after the first of the year. Rose has been kind enough to have done that each year. The park rules are posted in several locations and most of it is common sense and courtesy. We've never specifically addressed our having birds and animals at the park with township officials. However, the first year I met the guys who clean the park and they saw that we had birds. We also invited them to stop by to have a bite to eat if they were in the area, and they did come back, wandered through the sale area and then grabbed something to eat. I would advice not rocking this boat.

DITTO THIS!!!

Okay, June 15, 2013 is the date, then?

It's all well and good to plan on a particular date, however, since the pavilion cannot be reserved until the first business date after the first of the year, and it is a first come basis, a date cannot be set until the reservation is confirmed.
