Hotel room is booked for Saturday night!

My daughters are showing and it use to be youth was a one day show (they were caged in seperate areas too). They switched it last year and the youth get judged twice, 2 shows in 1! Youth and open division are now intermixed and there is just one area to go to see whatever type of bird you want to see.

The kids are excited! Need to figure out what all we are going to take now!!!

Is anyone certified to test for pullurom (sp?) ? I would like to have this test done before we go to the show if possible.

OH, I'm glad to see this thread is still active...is anyone "in charge" of our meet-up, or are we just sort of showing up at the event...? Do we have a place/time that we're going to meet? I would take on the organizing of it, but I have too much going on...can someone else step up & get the ball rolling? That'd be great!

this is going to sound like I am going off topic but stick with me...lol

has anyone heard of couch surfing?

its where you go online to the couch surfing site and find someone who will let you "crash" on their couch for a night...

we can put a spin on this...

back yard surfing... I am hearing a lot of people say that they live to close to rent a hotel or camp for the night but would those people be willing to let someone put up a tent for the night (and use the potty in the morning)

because i am sure there are a lot of people who may want to come but dont want to pay the 2 night minimum at a campground so all of a sudden the $35 a night campground just became a $70 weekend

if anyone is willing to allow a fellow BYC'er pitch a tent for the night the arrangements should be made between the 2 members and please make sure that there is clear expectations like:
no smoking on the property
drinking
food who is going to make what or is each family just gonna do their own thing

(these are just examples but are common issues and complaints couch surfers have)

I have been a member of couch surfing for a while now and have hosted people from Japan, Australia, and Spain and love every minute of it..

I never did hear from anyone in the area about a good meeting place. It seems Saturday works best for everyone, so that is easy enough. Anyone want to suggest a place and time?

Our suburban needs some work now and we have no money to fix it and I don't want to take it without dh, in case it breaks down. Dh can't take the time off work, because again, we can't afford it!

Soooo, don't look like we will be camping now

unless something changes.

Oh NO Vicki!!!!

The best place to meet is at the kitchen located at the pavallion. Prices are decent and there is plenty of seating.
And you won't be far from the chickens and waterfowl

Sounds like a neat concept. I would have a hard time finding someone to house me and my 5 kids!

i ordered my passports but i dont know if they will be here in time... there is a problem on mine my doc filled out the form wrong so now they need to call and confirm the info
