Here ya go.

Two cake halves are held together with raspberry jam, refridgerated and then covered in almond paste (finely ground almonds and water), rolled in cocoa powder and accented with almond sliver "eyes". It's a German recipe, the name of which I can neither pronounce nor spell.

OMG! Okay, they're SUPPOSED to look like taters! How funny! Hey, any chance of you bringing some to Chickenstock? THey're WAY KEWL!

Sure! That's one thing that will withstand two days in the car during the dogshow. We keep them in airtight containers for weeks sometimes. I will warn you though -few people appreciate the almond paste or the unsweetened cocoa powder on the outside. Must be a German thing.

I would think if you got a bit with the filling and cake AND the cocoa/almond paste, the combination would be good!

I'm 3/4 German...I love vinegar on my green beans!

Lime...hmm....I've always got lime juice on hand, but haven't tried it. What are some of the things you use it on?

Pastas and rice dishes, mostly. Chicken, fish... depending on the other seasonings. Also works great with any light desserts with cream or fruit type bases. Anything light.
