Michigan Chickenstock!!! Lansing area, August 1!!!

Congrats! The blues and greens are SO pretty! I've got two wheaten ameraucana pullets that are 19 weeks now, so I have a few more weeks to wait for some "true blue" eggies! I do have an EE that lays a blue egg, but I think these pure ameraucanas will lay more of a true blue, so I'm pretty darn excited about that!

3 eggs this morning

An escape artist! I'm not sure how the heck she is getting out, but I'll be spending the better part of today keeping an eye on Houdini. I believe that will be her name now.....Houdini

It's probably the SILKIES! You KNOW how they are....evil, evil, evil! Good luck corralling Houdini! Can't say as I've ever had an escape artist...hope I never do, because I'd never find them in my house!)

That's where she goes to. She walks herself over to the silkies' brooder, and sits on top of theirs. Meanwhile her brooder mates are pacing, and chirping up a storm. I told her this morning...You can join the big fluffy pillows when you get a little bit bigger. I don't think she wanted accepted that answer.

OH, they're working their evil magic on the poor girl already! Soon, she'll be sprouting unusual, fluffy feathers....

YES! YES!! I believe she needs the tinfoil hat! Maybe....just maybe...it will ward off the evil rays!
