Michigan Hatchers! What'cha got cookin?

Pics
I know some people that don't even take the eggs out of the turner to candle. ;)

You can get away with just 1 or 2 candling to get rid of early quitters/clears (day 10ish) and late quitters (lockdown day).

I have heritage turkey eggs in the incubator...I have a hatch of 12 right now...really cute little guys.

Just did a dry run - I put in 16 eggs, two I can't see through (bantam EE mix, shiny blue shells) two that may be "clear" i.e., I can see something up by the air cell but not sure if it's just yolk or not, and the rest have dark areas for sure under the cell. I'll try again tomorrow - it took a bit longer for me to figure out the flashlight/tp tube and I didn't want to chill the eggs.

they were about two days old in that pic...they are now 1 week old today...and growing quickly.
