and what do you bump it up to at lockdown??i also dry hatch. I don't add any water during the first 18-19 days. My hygrometer will read 10% sometimes because that's as low of a number as it'll read. WAY better hatches that way.

I keep an eye on the chicks and if they look 'sticky' i'll add a sponge or something. there's not really a science to it. it very much depends on your incubator and house. I found that for the marans especially, I had the best results when I finally gave in and didn't add ANY water for the first 18 days. before that I was have a lot of DIS chicks because they were getting too big.
