I had 9 when I left for work this morning. My hubby just sent a text saying there's 12 out now! Yay! Here's a pic from this morning

I think that is a purebred Buff ORP and I have quite a few olive eggers. One of my marans eggs hatched but it looks like its an Olive egger not a pure BCM darn it. I had been keeping my fingers crossed for that one :/ But I can't wait to get home and check on them! Hatching never gets old ;)

Our last two eggs never pipped, no sounds or peeps at end of day 24. I decided to take them out and make a small hole at the air sac...outer membrane in great shape but inner membrane did shrink down around both chicks. I gently nudged them through the hole, no movement at all. I wonder how long they had been like that?

Very strange that only two eggs shrunk out of 15. We have 13 bouncy healthy chubby fuzzies though...
Here is our barn owl

looking chick that I call Sunrise. An EE.

Candy , your EE is so cute! I love EEs for all their cute colors and fuzzy cheeks :)

Update on my hatch: its still ongoing, I have 19 out now with a majority being half BCMarans. I guess those boys are doing their job :) I also have 5 olive eggers so far, the leg feathering is definitively dominant. Their little fluffy lags are SO cute!

wow! great numbers so far out of, did you say, 30 set? Great success so far! CUTE, I would love to get some Maran's. Looking for Blue Copper, Black Copper for egg color only, not into the "show business" at this point.
