Michigan Hatchers! What'cha got cookin?

How many bantam eggs might a small bantam silkie be able to brood? 6?
I've been counting on the silkie to be our chicken mama this spring, but I am finding d'uccle chest feathers in the nesting box.

my silkie hatched 7 LF eggs last year. I think you could def. do more than 6 for bantam eggs.

Thanks for the responses. I might want the d'uccle to hatch them instead, if that's what she's after. The silkie gets along with our 2 large fowl better. Time will tell...

Bator was too dry and had a lil guy stuck in egg. Poor lil one was screamin and I can see dry feathers stickin out of holes so I busted him out. The whole inside was dry and it was stuck. So out and peepin now and doing some stretches!

I added a lil more water to bator so the others dont run into this issue either.

Current count is 13...
