I've got the wool to keep warm! I can't stand it being over 65 at night though or else I am waking up hot all night. Must be the flannel sheets since the quilt is very thin.

That's a lot of sweaters. Probably one for every day of the year.

I don't think I will thaw out til July. I am hoping for a hot summer!!

Poor chicks. The kids have gotten really good about being careful with their feet. Oldest is 5 and youngest is 17 months.

Help my roo's leg is straight out in front of him. I think I did it to him I was trying to catch him to move him to a new coop and used a chicken catcher on his leg and pulled toward me and he fell forward this has been 5 days ago or so and he was limping after a few hours having done that and I thought well maybe I bruised him or something well everyday it got worst I felt the leg nothing seems wrong on his leg but it might be dislocated at the hip or whatever they have I am so mad at myself for doing that he was playing hard to get and I was in a hurry. He is a big orpington. Now what?

thinking maybe dislocated.. so sorry to hear, hope your able to get him better soon.. maybe try move his leg back and see what it does..

Kimmie, hope you can get your roo straightened out... Next time wait till dark To catch a roo. You can just take them off the roost then. If you needed him caught for a morning or afternoon move, again take off the roost at night, or get a big fish net. Grabbing a big bird by the leg... Never a good idea.

Nova I am soooooooooo sad and am a big dumb dummmmmmy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate learning the hard way. Well hubby and I went out and really took a good look at him and I didn't do it but I think I may have caused him to hurt himself because he was babying the leg I hurt. It's the left leg and it is broke. I will have to have my husband cull him. Dang!! So his left leg is broke and the right one I hurt,

I am so stupid sometimes. He is a sweet roo to. I picked him up and felt all along the leg when I got to the top you can feel where it is broke and a piece of a ball joint or whatever it is was completely loose from the leg. I think he did it jumping from the roost, To high for a big boy like him I should have thought of that, oh man I don't think I can live with myself.
