I agree! I haven't had to buy whole tomatoes, stewed tomatoes or salsa for 4 years now; and still have ~48 pints in the pantry!

ANYTHING you use tomatoes for tastes 1000x better with ur own canned maters

I just started using Mrs. Wages stuff 2 years ago. LOVE it. I even use the hot salsa one & add my own onion, jalapeño & habaneros, gives me a other version of salsa besides my "homemade" ones.

Last year we mixed the hot and the mild Mrs. Wages salsa mix, added bell peppers, sweet banana peppers, jalapenos, sweet onions, and simmered it all day long for a really chunky version. It gets rave reviews whenever we take it anywhere. I'm down to my last 2 jars!!!!

I've got two hens sitting on eggs right now; plan to candle eggs this weekend.

I've had broody hens for a LONG TIME, and the best plan is to move each hen with her eggs to a separate place, as in a large dog crate or pen. I wait for three days or so of broody behavoir, and then do the move IN THE DARK as quietly as possible. During the day, not such a good idea. Mary

Guess what? I got another civil ticket dated July 01, 2013. All it says is "Animal Viol" signed by the ordinance Nazi.
My "ARR/PRETRIAL" is Wednesday July 31, 2013.

So to the wonderful people who took my chickens to new homes, would you please send me an e-mail or PM of when you re-homed my chickens.

Thank you.

Garden City. City motto (proposed): "We never met a dead horse we didn't feel compelled to continue to beat."

I imagine your O.O. has a regular pop up reminder on his calendar that says, "Harass R.Z."

Mary, do you have a light in your coop during the night, or do you let it go dark? I have been trying to figure out how to seperate one of my hens to nest, but I am completely new to hatching. I have a free range broody also. Tried moving her last time, but she didn't like that, and she abandoned the nest. Judging by the way she bites while I try to feed her, i think she may be hatching soon, and I really want to have the chicks protected from those rotten opossums and raccoons that have already taken out 6 hens. Any advice is appreciated. EM
