Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Here's my new dog. She is a sweet dog 6 months old. The vet said she would only be about 55 pounds she's 43 now. She got her shots so I go to get her license and was told I needed a letter or something stating her age and that she was just given to me or I would be charged a fine for not getting the license on time! I had only had her a week! Then walking out I stopped to talk to the deputies for the court and told them how silly the whole thing was and they said you don't need a license if the pup is under a year now why didn't the lady tell me that. I didn't get the license because new ones here start selling in October but now I know this I don't need one till February. As for the breed she's a Australian Deerhound

, not what Opa suggested
Congrats Kim. I went through that when I rescued Jillaroo. The county tried to fine me because she was not licensed when I got her. I fought it and won. Here I was with a dog abandoned in the woods tied to a tree. I get her vet visit, check for a chip, and end up deciding to keep her and the "man" wants to screw me over, lol! Have fun with the new charge! John P.S. Don't forget, if Jilly ever has ACD pups you said you wanted one (just kidding).

One more hot sticky day is on tap and then the weather changes...........Big time. That definitely will get the fish headed into the rivers. Fall is well underway, the garden is just about finished and the time to start picking apples and pressing cider is upon us. This has got to be my favorite time of the year.

One morning, a grandmother was surprised to find that her 7-year-old grandson had made her coffee! Smiling, she choked down the worst cup of her life. When she finished, she found three little green Army men at the bottom. Puzzled, she asked, "Honey, what are these Army men doing in my coffee?" Her grandson answered, "Like it says on TV, Grandma. 'The best part of waking up is soldiers in your cup.

My nephew thought it was soldiers in your cup too! So I always pictured little green army men in the cup :-D

Morning all. I took a few pictures of my Pheasants. Pictures do not show the true colors they have developed in the last week. I keep reminding myself how beautiful they will be as I struggle to dig post holes in baked clay ground. Then while cutting the 2 x 4's I ended up with a piece of sawdust in my eye and under the skin that touches your eye. I left it with the thoughts of dealing with it and a possible trip to the eye dr. this morning. Thankfully it took care of itself and I had only to clean my eye and all the debris out of it this morning. The things I do for my birds.
