Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Truth be told, I could get up to $6 from a few people at work as that is what they were paying for "organic, fresh" at the store! I would never get that much out here in the country, but in Metro Detroit...no prob

One of the guys I work with is from Europe, so he will usually buy whatever I have since his family (mom, siblings) really only likes farm fresh!

Now a few others have had fresh for the first time & I keep getting requests for more. Had 2 email requests yesterday. Luckily I'll have about 6 doz to take Monday. Told them once they had fresh they would never want "Kroger" again

no frost here this AM
nice time at the Fallasburg park vestival

What beautiful colouration. I had some BSLs that were green and purple that shone like that.

My hatch seems to have stalled. One egg has a foot exposed but the shell is only open 3/4 around. The chick is still inside the egg. The other 4 eggs have pipped but not zipped. Two may be duds, as there is nothing showing.

I keep talking to the incubator, trying to get some response. When I do, the foot twitches. Nothing from the other eggs though. The suspense is killing me.

Where is this at??

It was at the Montrose orchard in Montrose. In the spring its at Imlay City. They also have a couple of other ones in different locations around the state. If you do a search for Michigan gamebird, the site will come up and then look at their events calendar.

Does there come a point when one needs to help with a hatching egg?

It has been over 6 hours of a single foot outside the shell. The egg shell is only 3/4 zipped. The foot looks to be dry. The chick is alive.

Temperature is 95, humidity is 65%.

The 4 eggs that pipped seem to be stopped in process.

Today is exactly 21 days since I set them.
