It's pretty funny... the same method for making volcanos is the same for making a small animal gas chamber. Oh... if only I had known...
ANYWAY... My kid... the youngest that is was left to his own devices when I went to go and get the oldest kid from school. So a near 5 yr old was left in the care of his granny and his daddy. Neither was paying attention (this bothers me) and he had a charger/power cord for something, and decided that swinging it around like a helicopter woudl be a fun thing. He hit the tv with the box end that plugs into the wall. SO, instead of telling someone, he shut the tv off right quick and went about his business. We were out making the volcano when the daddy asks, what happened to the tv, you better come look... I did, and Aiden took off. Ok... What ever, I have insurance purchased that is supposed to cover this sort of thing. I asked that when I bought this ins.. I asked the jerk at best buy, what happens if my little ones throw something and damages the screen, cuz, kids throw stuff. Jace was 5 at the time, and Aiden was 2. And they are boys... rough house, things fly... Oh yes yes, it'll be covered, so I bought it. Well, call best (worst) buy and they say, oh no... it doesn't cover physical damage. What? Call corporate, and corporate says, oh yes it does. Call my local back, and they say, or no it doesn't. So, now I sit with a messed up screen. Local says all they can do is prorate my ins and give me the balance... $27 bucks. They won't fix it, cuz its physical damage. They won't give me a new tv because it physical damage. Corporate says they have to fix it or give me a new tv that is the same or equivilent of what I have. Local says nana nana booboo, boy did we screw you.
SO... to fix the screen... May as well get a new tv. Same cost with the screen and labor. I will not buy from best buy again. I will either get a refund of my ins policy amount in the end or the tv fixed or new. Just have to get to the bottom of whose policy is honored... Corporates policy that says yes physical damage is covered, or locals that says, oh no, just componet damage from thing like normal usage wear or dust type things. HEEELLLLOOO??? Why the heck would I buy a policy for THAT? My home owners covers lightning and water damage should the roof leak.. GAH!! What a circle jerk.
That would be soooo frustrating!
