It's pretty funny... the same method for making volcanos is the same for making a small animal gas chamber. Oh... if only I had known...

ANYWAY... My kid... the youngest that is was left to his own devices when I went to go and get the oldest kid from school. So a near 5 yr old was left in the care of his granny and his daddy. Neither was paying attention (this bothers me) and he had a charger/power cord for something, and decided that swinging it around like a helicopter woudl be a fun thing. He hit the tv with the box end that plugs into the wall. SO, instead of telling someone, he shut the tv off right quick and went about his business. We were out making the volcano when the daddy asks, what happened to the tv, you better come look... I did, and Aiden took off. Ok... What ever, I have insurance purchased that is supposed to cover this sort of thing. I asked that when I bought this ins.. I asked the jerk at best buy, what happens if my little ones throw something and damages the screen, cuz, kids throw stuff. Jace was 5 at the time, and Aiden was 2. And they are boys... rough house, things fly... Oh yes yes, it'll be covered, so I bought it. Well, call best (worst) buy and they say, oh no... it doesn't cover physical damage. What? Call corporate, and corporate says, oh yes it does. Call my local back, and they say, or no it doesn't. So, now I sit with a messed up screen. Local says all they can do is prorate my ins and give me the balance... $27 bucks. They won't fix it, cuz its physical damage. They won't give me a new tv because it physical damage. Corporate says they have to fix it or give me a new tv that is the same or equivilent of what I have. Local says nana nana booboo, boy did we screw you.

SO... to fix the screen... May as well get a new tv. Same cost with the screen and labor. I will not buy from best buy again. I will either get a refund of my ins policy amount in the end or the tv fixed or new. Just have to get to the bottom of whose policy is honored... Corporates policy that says yes physical damage is covered, or locals that says, oh no, just componet damage from thing like normal usage wear or dust type things. HEEELLLLOOO??? Why the heck would I buy a policy for THAT? My home owners covers lightning and water damage should the roof leak.. GAH!! What a circle jerk.

That would be soooo frustrating!:he

if corpoorate says yes then i would just make sure they know store is refusing. Best luck ive had is posting on their fb page. I once had an issue with lowes and getting runaround at store. Within minutes of posting i had messages asking for info, then store manager calling my house along with messages from corporate. Some businesses really dislike bad publicity on their fb page. Its worth a try at least. Its also the only way i can get any reliable help from tracfone.

Talking on the phone doesn't get their attention. You gotta go to the check-out lane and LOUDLY complain that corporate says yes, they say no, etc.
when they see customers leaving without buying, they pay attention. Be firm, be polite, but be loud where other customers can hear about the phony warranty. Be sure you have evidence of what corporate says (fax, printed email. etc.)

( I learned this 30-40 years ago at a car dealership-- when I complained about the extra charges on the bill, IN the showroom and customers walked out. Did wonders for their attitude, the bill was reduced. Has worked every time since. Smile, be polite, be FIRM.

I was thinking of recording the conversation with corporate, with them knowing, heck they record our converstation for quality purposes... And then take that call to the local, and play it for the general manager and see what happens...or calling the news, and calling corporate while they are there, and then getting back in touch with local and get there version of the insurance... and see what happens... LOL Hmmm.

Yep. Diddo on the roughed up. They actually calmed down a lot last night when the girls were holding them. except for the little black one (maran?)#1 She wasn't sure if she was going to part with it( same one in all pics she thinks its a pullet). She didn't want to part with any of her araucana girls(breeding stock) only the roo's. She said she got her eggs from up north. I still came home with 5 (1 isabrown/1 chocchip?/3 maran?)I think thats what their suppose to be. any way they pecked at the little guys once or twice but not real bad so I left them together. Everyone was fine this morning when I fed and took pics.Laura was real nice. Did you get the little white one? it she said she sold it saturday. well anyway pics please!!! Also I'm gonna try and get pics of the little ones tonight if you wanna guess sex???

I bought a scrawny white leghorn hen from her that lays a huge egg. The rest were mutt marans and 2 of her choc. chip EEs. I didn't ask about her Araucana prices. One of the mutts may actually be an olive egger. It's a light olive but still . . .
I will get pics when I get a chance :).

Michigan does seem to be a hotspot for purebred Araucanas. I love mine to pieces!

Hey welcome back, you are missed

Thank you, snowflake. :) I miss you all, too. Life has been extra unkind of late, and it is hard to find time for forums, but I stop by periodically to see what you are all up to, even if I don't post. :p Maybe at some point things will get a little easier and I can keep up better.

I thought so. She didn't have that many chickens left that she was selling. She was keeping anything that was rump-less and colored. I'm not even sure how old these girls are?

She also wasn't sure if these were laying. It would have been cool if u had been their Sunday. But nothing like learning by doing. Is their any shows around the area?

you might try another best buy. I took my phone in and they were gonna exchange it but I didn't have the charger and when I went back of course the same girl wasn't there. They gave me the flux even the manager. The one guy said it was a cheap phone. Told him well you guys sold me this cheap phone. Called and complained they said it was covered I could go back or to another store.Went to another one no problems phone was discontinued so I got credit bought another one plus had enough for a 2 yr warranty.
